Vision

Vision

The vision for Bible Notes app goes back generations, as in 1921 the founder of Bible Notes app’s great grandparents, George & Jessie Walker went to China to spread the gospel as Salvation Army officers. A spiritual ministry to refugees resulted in all 12000 families returning home with a Bible in their possession. In 1937 a full war erupted  and George Walker was arrested and persecuted for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By April 1941, with World War II raging, George and Jessie were transferred to Shanghai, which contained the world’s largest prison, holding up to 8000 prisoners. The prisoners became a special ministry for George, who frequently had the opportunity to pray with condemned men before they were executed. George’s great grandson built Bible Notes app with a free Bible to ensure that Jesus is spread into China and around the world digitally so that everyone has the opportunity to know Jesus.

Biblenotes

George & Jessie’s oldest son, Wilbur also caught the vision of ministering to the Chinese people and after 7 visits to China searching for persecuted friends with whom he shared his growing years, Wilbur visited China for the last time in 2001, accompanied by Peter Hobbs who produced this video.
